Model 1 - trinket box

I have modeled the trinket box. I have also unwrapped it.
When I texture this model. I am hoping to achieve a Muddy /greenish metal trinket bot with scratches on it. World war 2 tanks had a green armour so I used that idea for my trinket bot.
A muddy german tank. The mud on this tank is rather thick due to weather in the war, part of the story for my trinket box is that the person who owns it sometimes drops it on the ground, porabaly in some mud now and then so I want to add think blackish/brownish mud on texture.
I could proabaly achieve this if I got a brush which had spaces between the drawing area and turn the flow down, seletect a darkish brown and start drawing.I was googled green metal and this image came up. something like this on my trinket box would be amazing for me. Maybe abit less green but the base dents, scratchers and where the paint has come off are cool.

I would like to make a texture that has mud on it but still contains come shinyness to it. I can get the shinyness on the spec map, making the area I want have more colour so when the game engine renders the model the part with the spec map on it reflects brightly. So where the mud is I will not make that shiny. Scratches and dents will have more of an effect if a normal map was made with the dents and scratches on them so when view within a game engine they look better and more realistic.

Guitar: What i have done so far

Alright here is my guitar I have modeled and started texturing. It doesn't look the best at the moment but hopefully I will improve it soon.
For the bridge and the jack-in I am going to put a Spec and normal map on it so they will look bumpy and be shiny. It would be good to do this because they are made out of metal and have extra detail which I have no modeled in.

I might give the picks-up a normal map on it because they have little circle indents on them where the metal parts of the pick-ups show.

I will use photoshop to create the normal maps and spec maps. By getting my finished texture I will use that and delete all other items I wont need and leaving the jack in, bridge and pick-ups on and turn it in to a hightmap then in a normal map by using an addon build into photoshop.

In the bottem right you can see the unwrapped texture file.

Model 2 - Barrel

Here is a rusty barrel. This looks to me like major rust which is destroying this barrel.
When I texture I hope to create an effect like this. I have got my model and unwrapped texture file. So i'll start work on it as soon as possible.

To achive the rust I could take a picture like the one you see here and sample a colour from it where there is rust. Using the new colour I have I can place it on the unwrapp where is needs to be for example the top/lid. To add more realism to it I will add a normal map where the rusty parts are so when rendered it looks likethe metal is being corroeded.
A damaged barrel is bound to have scratchers and dents on it so I will add them on the normal map to but only to the normal map.

Model 3 - Guitar

This is my guitar. I have taken a few pictures of it closer up.
Like the bridge, jack in and the "metal god" sticker because i intend to use them in my model.

The story behind this guitar is, That it is a tipical person who ownes one. So the guitar it self is good condition. Maybe with a few defects like, paint coming off, worn out pick guard.

Changes

I am going to change from using the ship to a guitar.
I am Modeled a guitar and UV unwrapped it so it would be better if i did that instead.
I have a Guitar my self so i can take photos of it and use it for my model.
I have only modeld the body of the guitar, So no neck and strings.
